Bind rules:

  • Multiple binds to the same key will all execute, in order
  • Binds to the same key are not shared across layers
  • Commands automatically manage necessary extra commands, like spectator controls, when using multiple binds
  • Custom commands support limited console syntax. Full support for quoted arguments in commands is coming soon
  • Binding by pressing mouse 4 or mouse 5 is not supported in browsers. Click the respective buttons instead.

Weapon customization tips:

  • If a crosshair is chosen for Default, it will override any per weapon customizations.
  • Crosshair color and scale cannot change per weapon, only per class or for all classes.

Looking for something else (like config templates and alternative formats, like ZIP or autoexec.cfg)? You can find it on GitHub release assets. Under the assets section, you'll find:

  • full autoexec — a version of mastercomfig in the older autoexec.cfg editable format, which lacks certain features of the mod version, but it is a single file, and is editable and has comments
  • mastercomfig zip package — a version of mastercomfig in the fully-featured mod format, but is editable and retains comments, albeit with worse load performance compared to the VPK, and may cause issues with the layer approach in mastercomfig
  • overrides template — a ZIP you can extract to cfg/overrides which gives you all the files you can use to override mastercomfig at specific points, like class configs, modules, autoexec, and other hooks
  • overrides autoexec template — a fully commented version of the mastercomfig autoexec.cfg, which you can use in cfg/overrides/autoexec.cfg to override specific settings in finer detail than just modules
